✦ About Rehome Lifeline

We exist in the space before surrender.

Rehome Lifeline is a pet safety resource platform built for the moment when a pet owner is overwhelmed, out of options, and doesn't know where to turn. We are not a shelter. We are not an adoption agency. We are a resource — here on behalf of your pet.

The problem we're solving

Every year, millions of pets enter shelters not because their owners stopped loving them — but because their owners ran out of options and didn't know where else to turn. A job loss. A housing crisis. A behavioral issue that felt unsolvable. A medical bill that was impossible to pay.

Most of those surrenders could have been prevented with the right information at the right moment. The problem isn't a lack of resources — it's that those resources are scattered, hard to find, and rarely presented in a way that meets someone in crisis where they actually are.

Rehome Lifeline was built to close that gap. We connect pet owners to financial assistance, behavioral support, local rescues, temporary fostering, and low-cost veterinary care — before a shelter becomes the only option.

How we operate

The principles that guide every decision we make.

Your pet's safety is the mission

Every resource, every tool, every page on this platform exists for one reason — to improve the odds of a safe outcome for your animal. We are not here to judge the circumstances that brought you here.

We are a resource, not a decision-maker

Rehome Lifeline does not approve or deny adoptions, placements, or surrenders. We provide information, connections, and tools. The decisions belong to you and the organizations you work with.

Transparency over authority

We use self-reported data from rescue organizations and do not make claims we cannot verify. Our Transparency Card system shows you what rescues have told us — and flags what they haven't.

Hyper-local first

We launched in a 10-mile radius of 85254 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Local means we can be specific, accurate, and actually useful — not a generic national directory that's out of date.

We are a resource — not a replacement

We are

  • A free resource platform for pet owners in crisis
  • A directory of local rescues with transparency data
  • A guide to financial, behavioral, and medical help
  • A crisis triage tool to help you think clearly
  • A connection point — not a decision-maker

We are not

  • A shelter or animal control agency
  • An adoption agency or placement service
  • A rescue organization that takes in animals
  • A vet or medical provider
  • Better than shelters — we work alongside them

Starting local. Scaling carefully.

We launched in a 10-mile radius of zip code 85254 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Starting small means we can verify our data, build real relationships with local rescues, and make sure the platform actually works before expanding.
